About Surface Art
Three decades of building it right.
Founded in San Jose in 1995, Surface Art has built the printed circuit boards behind Silicon Valley's most demanding hardware ever since, all on one stubborn idea.
Every contract manufacturer has the same machines and the same processes. What separates them is harder to buy: the discipline to build it right the first time, every time.
We've been privately held and woman- and minority-owned from the start, and we still run on the discipline we opened our doors with: build it right the first time. We design our line to hit a 99%+ first-pass yield and hold internal rework under 1%. Every reflow cycle a board survives is a cycle of reliability spent, and the systems we build for don't get a second chance.
That's why customers stay for decades; many have been with us more than twenty years. We treat their deadlines and their reputations as our own: we ship to spec, on the date we promised, and we're the shop other engineers call when someone else falls short.
